Jakarta, March 17, 2025 — To encourage Indonesians to take a moment and celebrate meaningful small wins during the holy month of Ramadan, Havaianas recently launched a Ramadan campaign titled #RayakanSejenak. As part of this campaign, Havaianas hosted an iftar gathering in collaboration with Yayasan Luna Maya Nawasena and Luna’s Friend (LUF) Community. The event aimed to celebrate every single moment while sharing joy with those in need. Through this campaign, Havaianas also provided donations to support alternative street schools, helping improve access to education for children under the Indonesia Hijau foundation.
Lee Walker, Vice President Footwear & Active at Kanmo Group, said, “At Havaianas, we believe that every step, no matter how small, is worth celebrating, especially during the meaningful month of Ramadan. Through this iftar gathering, we want to encourage people to pause and appreciate the little moments that bring happiness, while also sharing with those in need. We are proud to contribute donations to support the communities and children under Indonesia Hijau, to support their access to education. The spirit of Ramadan is about sharing and caring for others, and we hope this initiative can create a positive impact for those who need it most.”
In addition to sharing through donations, the event also featured a unique pre-iftar activity, where children from Indonesia Hijau participated in a sandal painting activity using Havaianas flip-flops as their canvas. The session was led by Hikari, an artist from Tab Space, who also collaborated on the illustrations used in the #RayakanSejenak campaign. Tab Space is an artist studio based in Bandung that supports artists with disabilities.
Luna Maya, Brand Ambassador of Havaianas Indonesia, said “I’m truly happy to be part of this initiative with Havaianas for #RayakanSejenak. Ramadan is the perfect time to share and create a positive impact for those in need. Through this donation, we hope to help improve access to education for children, because every child deserves the opportunity to learn and build a better future. Hopefully, this small step can inspire more people to share happiness and support one another, especially during this holy month.”
Through this iftar gathering with Yayasan Luna Maya Nawasena and the LUF Community, Havaianas hopes to continue inspiring people to find joy in simple moments and celebrate every small step on their journey, especially during Ramadan. Through various initiatives under #RayakanSejenak, Havaianas aims to share the spirit of togetherness and compassion, and encourage more people to appreciate small achievements that hold meaningful value in daily life.
